Italian-Designed Ipe Seating with Ultraleather Cushions
Most outdoor furniture cushions raise the same question: can they stay outside, or do they need to come in every time rain is forecast? Jensen Tempo settles that question with Ultraleather, a waterproof polyurethane performance fabric that looks and feels like genuine leather and handles full outdoor exposure without degrading. It's the primary cushion choice for this collection, and for Jensen Outdoor, it represents a deliberate push toward the indoor-outdoor crossover that high-end residential and hospitality buyers are increasingly looking for.
The five-piece collection — Sofa, Loveseat, Lounge Chair, Swivel Rocker, and Ottoman — was designed by Edi and Paolo Ciani, the Italian duo behind Innova's award-winning Trellis Lounge Chair. Tempo's Ipe frames incorporate a powder-coated aluminum base insert for structural reinforcement, a hybrid approach that borrows the visual warmth of FSC-certified Ipe timber while adding aluminum's dimensional stability at the base. The Ipe arrives chocolate brown and weathers to silver; its silica-dense fiber structure resists water, rot, and insects without any chemical treatment, sourced from Jensen's managed Bolivian forestry operation.
For buyers who want Sunbrella performance fabric instead of Ultraleather, that option is available across the collection as well. Tempo is a pure deep seating lineup with no dining or accent table pieces included. All five pieces ship fully assembled to anywhere in the USA, free of charge. Jensen backs the collection with a 5-year residential warranty, and no tax applies in most US states.
