All seven pieces are FSC-certified teak from Jensen's managed forestry program. Teak's high natural oil content provides inherent weather resistance, making it one of the few timbers that genuinely needs no chemical treatment to hold up through years of outdoor exposure. The wood arrives honey brown; left outdoors, it weathers gracefully to silver-gray. Buyers who prefer to maintain the warm original tone can apply a teak-specific oil periodically, but that's a choice, not a requirement.
