Traditional Luxury With a Full-Height Program
Castelle Monterey is built around two ideas: traditional styling that references the outdoor living rooms of an earlier era, and serious comfort that doesn't ask anything of the person sitting in it. The dominant upholstery is padded sling, a construction that sandwiches a layer of cushioning material inside the sling fabric itself. It's firmer than a loose cushion, easier to maintain, and far more supportive than standard single-layer sling. Standard sling is also available for buyers who prefer the classic look.
As part of the broader Castelle family, Monterey carries the brand's 15-year frame warranty and 5-year finish warranty on its cast aluminum frames, along with 18 frame finish options, a range that covers everything from creamy antique whites to deep espresso tones. That level of finish selection matters on a collection with this much vintage sensibility, where the colorway contributes directly to the overall tone of the space.
The piece count is 24, and the product mix is intentionally skewed toward outdoor dining: dining arm chairs, dining swivel rockers, lounge swivel rockers, chaise lounges, and, notably, both high-back bar arm chairs and high-back counter arm chairs. A full bar program in outdoor furniture is unusual; most collections top out at counter height or offer bar stools without backs.
