The Best Outdoor Wicker Furniture Brands
There are many brands on the market, but how do you know which ones are really the best outdoor wicker furniture brands? I'll tell you. I've covered furnishings exclusively for quite some time and I've learned a thing or two in the process.
Some of the names that often come up are Harmonia Living, Sunset West, Ratana, lloyd Flanders, and Ebel. I'm able to give you this review after seeing many of these pieces, looking at the undersides of the furniture sets and inquiring more about the way the wicker is woven.

Shopping for Outdoor Wicker Furniture? You Have to Know This
Sometimes I hear people moan that good wicker furniture is expensive. While this is true, you should ask yourself one thing; did you know that each piece synthetic resin wicker is hand-woven? Changes your whole perspective right? To go even further, I've found out what really sets the best outdoor wicker brands apart from the cheap $300 sets sitting on showroom floors.
- Materials- There's cheap plastic and then you have materials like High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), EnviroFiber, and Ecolene, and Rehau. The higher quality sets won't fade, chip, crack, or peel. That's the difference. Polyethylene is not HDPE. HDPE is a hardened polyethylene that is more resistant to scratching. Learn more about HDPE vs PE.
- Wicker - To clarify, wicker is not a material; it's a type of weave. Cheap brands use leftover strands to weave their sets. This is why the wicker starts to unravel. Quality sets use minimal strands to keep their entire set together as one piece. End strands are also wrapped around the frame several times and stapled to the frame to prevent them from unraveling.
- Support System - The weave may look nice but what's underneath? If you're just sitting on the weave, it's going to stress out the wicker strands especially where they're attached to the frame. Then, snap! They'll break off and your beautiful patio set will unravel completely. Good brands use thicker gauges of aluminum and netted support beneath the seating (not visible from the top). This helps distribute the weight across the entire chair and not just on the wicker.
FAQs: Best Outdoor Wicker Furniture Brands (What to Look For)
Harmonia Living, Lloyd Flanders, and Sunset West. These stand out for materials, weaving quality, and build. Honorable mentions include Forever Patio, Hospitality Rattan (uses Viro Fiber), and Zuo Modern for eye-catching contemporary design. Explore collections like Dune, Urbana, Mesa, Contempo, Coronado, Malibu, Huntington, and Montecito.
Each piece is hand-woven with better materials. Premium brands use skilled weaving, UV-resistant fibers, and robust frames/supports. Cheap sets often unravel, crack, or fade quickly. Quality construction keeps the weave tight, seats supportive, and finishes looking great season after season.
Prefer HDPE, EnviroFiber, Ecolene, or Rehau over cheap plastic. HDPE is a hardened polyethylene that resists scratching, fading, and peeling better than generic PE. Higher-grade fibers keep color and shape outdoors, reducing cracking and chalking common to bargain plastics.
Look for level rows and secured ends. Quality sets use minimal, continuous strands; end strands wrap the frame multiple times and are stapled to prevent unraveling. Harmonia Living weaves only four rows at a time to keep the wicker even—watch for swaying or crooked rows in cheaper sets.
Thick-gauge aluminum + netted seat support = longevity. If you sit only on the weave, strands stress and snap at frame attachment points. Premium brands add heavier aluminum frames and a netted under-seat system to distribute weight, protecting the wicker and improving comfort.
Overly shiny wicker is a bad sign. A high-gloss, plastic-y sheen usually indicates cheaper fibers that crack quickly. Also beware super-low prices and visible, messy end strands—both hint at shortcuts that lead to unraveling and early failure.
Buy from specialists who vet brands and materials. Avoid generic, cheap imitations. PatioProductions.com focuses on quality outdoor wicker and carries established manufacturers—so you won’t find the flimsy $300 sets that fail fast.
This overview only hints at what's ahead, read on to uncover the top-rated outdoor wicker furniture brands that stand above the rest.
I recommend making a purchase from a brand on this list. Also, review this post that I wrote entitled, "How to Choose Quality Wicker Furniture Without Paying the Price." 5 Best Outdoor Wicker Furniture Brands
1. Harmonia Living - The Best Value Outdoor Wicker Furniture Brand
Harmonia Living is a company that only does wicker furniture. Because of this, they have a variety of styles of wicker products. One of my favorites is their most recent release of the Dune Sofa Set. It has a nice history behind it too! Aside from this, Harmonia Living is one of the best outdoor wicker furniture brands because of the materials they use and the way their wicker is woven. They use HDPE wicker, thicker gauged frames, and each piece is only woven 4 rows at a time to keep the wicker level. Take a close look at other sets next time. You might notice that the wicker sways up and down or goes off crooked in one direction. Harmonia Living pays attention to the details and they offer some of the lowest prices. Popular sets include the Urbana Sofa Set (available in an Espresso or Gray Finish), Arbor Dining Cube Table, and the new Element Sofa Set.

2. Lloyd Flanders - The Best Quality Outdoor Wicker Furniture Brand

A fantastic brand for luxury outdoor living, Lloyd Flanders makes classy, beautiful furniture that's built to last. I adore Lloyd Flanders. Based out of Michigan, this brand is over 100 years old, and has patented, industry-leading Loom weaving technology, so any wicker furniture from their catalog is sure to be a magnificent and sturdy work of art. Check out their Mesa collection for a fantastic blend of wicker, wood, and concrete textures, While their Contempo collection is the ultimate in outdoor living space relaxation.

3. Sunset West - The Best Looking Outdoor Wicker Furniture Brand

Sunset West is another company that I love. They're right down here in San Diego so I've had a chance to see many of their wicker pieces and sit on them (I might have caught a quick nap on them too!). Sunset West has great taste. Some of their most popular pieces are the Coronado Wicker Set, the Malibu, and the Huntington. Sunset West uses even better materials than Forever Patio and Harmonia Living but the price does reflect this slightly. If working on a budget, you'll be fine just with Harmonia Living or Forever Patio. Really anything on this list, just stay away from the cheap $300 sets! It's a waste of money!
Honorable Mentions:
Previously, the following brands were featured in this post, but do not quite make the top 5 anymore:
Forever Patio
Forever Patio is a very safe bet. They use quality materials for the wicker and the frame itself. They also offer a variety of some very popular sets like the Barbados, Bayside, and of course the Hampton. Like I mentioned in my other post, Forever Patio offers quality products at a mid-range price point.
Hospitality Rattan
Hospitality Rattan has close ties with Panama Jack, another big brand that you may have heard of. Hospitality rattan uses Viro Fiber that is great for the outdoors. It's very durable, UV resistant, and it's offered in beautiful finishes like Antique Brown, Espresso, and Java Brown. They make the Soho set and they also make a handful of very nice wicker dining sets like the Key Biscayne 5 Pc. Sofa Set.
Zuo Modern
Zuo Modern is a special one on this list. If you're looking for something contemporary, catchy, and eye-catching, you'll want to look at Zuo Modern pieces. Zuo Modern is a really creative company that places their emphasis on design. Even if you don't end up buying one of their sets, I invite you to check it out. Some of their stuff is really creative!
Where to Find the Best Brands
Don't be tempted by cheap imitations. Shiny wicker is a tell-tale sign that it's a cheap plastic that will begin to crack in no time. Although I love shopping at big box stores for groceries, I know better than to buy cheap furniture there. It's generic and it won't do the job if you want to keep your wicker furniture for a long time.
Patio Productions.com specializes exclusively in outdoor wicker furniture. They only carry quality brands; you won't find any cheap stuff here. To see a list of all their manufacturers, you can visit this page. And below is a link to view all of our outdoor wicker furniture:

Have you had any experience with Lane Venture's Royal Plantation Collection?
Patio Productions May 20, 2016
We haven't carried them on our site so we can't speak from experience. We would recommend taking a look at the collections by Forever Patio, they offer a similar style but are more affordable. Forever Patio is a brand we can definitely recommend.

Thank you. My fear of online ordering for something like this is not being able to test the comfort factor.
Patio Productions July 12, 2018
That is perfectly understandable. One way you can get around this is to call your local patio stores and ask if they have any pieces on display of the furniture you are interested in. If they do, you can go into their showroom and test out the furniture before you buy it online.

What do you think of North Cape International wicker outdoor furniture?
Patio Productions April 19, 2017
North Cape International is one of the many brands we have on our website, and for very good reason. Their products are all very high quality, using the latest construction methods and weather resistant materials. They offer a variety of collections and design styles, from the classic and traditional to the modern/contemporary. When you see their products in person you realize why they are so popular with our customers.

Lloyd Flanders? That's all I buy
Patio Productions August 6, 2017
We have never seen Lloyd Flanders products in person so we can't make a first hand assessment. Judging from their website, they carry an attractive variety of collections with good options for wicker color, finishes, and cushion colors. One detail to take notice of is that their wicker is made from vinyl and not a High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) wicker. HDPE is what you want when it comes to wicker material.

What do you think of Pier One wicker furniture? They have been making it for years.

When it comes to wicker furniture, it's important to consider the types of materials and the warranties provided by the manufacturer. Powder-coated aluminum frames are best because they are both light weight and resistant to rusting due to exposure. A good outdoor furniture frame should last for 5-15 years. The wicker should be made from HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) and come with a minimum of a 3 Year Warranty. Different wickers made from different materials will have different expected lifespans and the warranty will reflect that. Cushions made from Sunbrella fabric are the gold standard in the industry and have proven their reliability over and over again with their 5 year warranty. Take these factors into consideration and don't be afraid to ask if you want to make sure you are getting a high quality product.

Any comments on Baran Ash wicker furniture? Specifically the Ventura line?
Thanks!
Patio Productions July 12, 2018
Unfortunately we have never seen their furniture in person so we cannot offer an opinion based on personal experience. We always remind customers to look at the quality of the warranty and how willing a manufacturer is to talk about their materials and manufacturing process. Any manufacturer that uses high quality materials and manufacturing will be willing to talk about those subjects and educate their customers.

Bought a lovely 5 piece Antiqua wicker set. This is its 2nd year. It is coming in raveled on 4 pieces. I’m a person who saves every warranty w date on it. Cannot find paperwork. Guess I am out of luck even thos it is warranted for 5 years.
Patio Productions July 12, 2018
If you still know where you bought it, there is the possibility that the store kept a record of your purchase and you can use that to file a claim with the manufacturer. If the store you bought it from is helpful, there is a chance they may help you with the claim.

I have a 6 piece set of Henry Link wicker furniture that I have always used inside. Recently moved and downsized. Can this be moved to outdoor patio area without ruining?
Thanks for any information.
Patio Productions August 10, 2018
Thank you for your comment.
Are we talking about natural wicker furniture here? If so, we can't recommend using the furniture outdoors as natural wicker begins to fall apart rather quickly in the elements. I would only recommend using synthetic wicker furniture in outdoor spaces for long periods of time. Traditionally, people love to use wicker furniture outdoors and you see it a lot in old photographs of people relaxing in their garden. But people would never leave the furniture out, they would always bring it back indoors the same day. It was just convenient because wicker furniture is very lightweight.

I’m looking for outdoor wicker patio furniture. I live in western ma. So we’re talking rain, heat, cold etc.
What product line would you recommend?
Patio Productions October 28, 2018
Hello Kathleen. Thank you for your comment, that is a very good question.
When it comes to outdoor wicker and enduring the elements, the key is HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). All synthetic wickers are plastics but HDPE is a plastic that was engineered for the patio furniture industry. It contains UV inhibitors and protection against fading and cracking in the sun. It is also designed to endure cold climates, such as snow and wet weather conditions.
So you want to make sure that any outdoor wicker patio furniture you are shopping for is made using HDPE. Some of the most popular brands on our website that specialize in HDPE wicker furniture include Harmonia Living, Sunset West, & Forever Patio.

Hello,
First, thank you for all the useful information you have taken the time to post on your site! I've been looking around for an outdoor wicker set for my screened in porch for a few months now and have yet to "pull the trigger" on anything.
That said, I have come across a set that's by Fleischmann and sold by Darby Home Co that I like the look of and believe it has the material/construction quality you speak of. I'm just wondering if you've ever heard of this brand (if it really is a brand, I think I've seen the same set under another name).
I'm going to include a link to where I've seen it:
I've looked at all your other recommended brands and just can't quite find one that matches the style of the one I mention above. If you have any comment on the quality of the above set please let me know. Or, if you know of a trusted brand that makes a similar style, could you let me know? The closest I've seen is Catalina by Forever Patio, but not a fan of the flat arms. Thanks!

Please help me locate a wicker patio furniture maker. I remember the brand had two words in the name, This was 20-22 years ago and purchased in Eastern Shore Maryland or Delaware. I had a table, six chairs, four arm chairs, two small tables, square and round. They were marvelous and I gave them to my daughter in Oho when I moved to a smaller place in Indiana. She had damage to the dining table top which looked to be glass but was heavy duty plastic; a tree toppled onto it in a storm. I want to contact the manufacturer to see if it can be repair or replaced, but for the life of me, I cannot remember the name. I think I purchased it in Ocean view, DE from a shore which has gone out of business. All the chairs also had cushions which are still great!

Hello. Thank you for your comment.
Off the top of my head, the only brands I can think of that offer that kind of durability and were around in those years would be either Lloyd Flanders or Brown Jordan. Do you remember what the furniture was made of? Wicker? Aluminum? Teak?
Patricia Bemis May 24, 2019
I bought a used wicker set that was made by Henry Link. She had it on a sun porch. I now have it on my screened in porch. Is this ok? I have noticed a rust like stain on the chairs that doesn’t seem to come off. There was mold and mildew, but I seemed to have gotten it off. What do you suggest?
Patio Productions June 1, 2019
Hello, thank you for your comment.
Unfortunately we don't have any experience with Henry Link furniture. Nevertheless, it is always better to keep older patio furniture under a covered patio or screened in porch. That will definitely help protect it.

Hi I’m looking to have some custom made pieces
Do you now of anyone who does this
The closer to Canada the better LOL I’m looking for the HDPE product on aluminum frame
Patio Productions August 29, 2019
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately there aren't any manufacturers we know of that produce wicker furniture here in the United States. Most, if not all, have their pieces made overseas and then have them shipped to the US via container ship. For this reason everything must be manufactured in large quantities.
There may be people who specialize in making custom furniture upon request. You could try looking on Etsy or other similar websites, but it seems most people on there specialize in restoring old patio furniture vs. creating custom pieces.

Have you ever experienced, or heard about RST Brands?
Patio Productions December 13, 2019
Thank you for your comment. We are unfamiliar with that company therefore we can't speak from first-hand experience. When it comes to a brand you are unfamiliar with, the best place to start is always with the manufacturer's warranty. The stronger the warranty, the more faith a brand puts in their products. That is extremely important when it comes to outdoor furniture. Good enough furniture is typically 1 - 2 Years warranty. Better is 2 - 5 Years. Best is anything with a 5+ year warranty.
