What’s cooler than an outdoor hanging chair? The answer; a wicker hanging chair! I’ve caught myself dreaming about some of the hanging chairs I’ve seen on Gardenista, Home Design Lover, and Design Swan. This prompted me to pull together a list of cool outdoor wicker hanging chairs.
Hanging chairs are a luxury. The feeling of weightlessness is stress-relieving like a hammock but nurturing like a daybed. It’s cute and delicate yet all the while fun and enchanting. I’ve seen them used inside of nursery rooms and also used as focal points of feminine designs. The wicker weave makes the chairs breathable so air passes through the chair and cools your back, perfect for days under the sun in the backyard.
Outdoor Wicker Hanging Chairs for Your Backyard
1. Circa Bamboo Hanging Chair
The Circa Hanging Bamboo chair has a concentric design that features a collapsible frame made from eco-friendly bamboo materials and finished with stainless steel hardware. The seatback and cushion are made from Suncrylic fabrics to give you the ultimate lounging pleasure. The entire chair is suspended by 4 cords that can be attached to any sturdy pole or hammock frame. 2. Nimbus Wicker Outdoor Hanging Basket Chair
The Nimbus Outdoor Hanging Egg Chair is available with or without a stand and comes with bottom and seat back cushions. That’s great because you can don’t have to pay for the stand if you don’t need it (+$100) and plan on hanging it from something in your backyard. Sometimes the weave on wicker furniture will unravel but you won’t have to worry about that because Harmonia Living (the maker of the Nimbus Hanging Chair) is one of the best outdoor wicker furniture brands. Their products use High-Density Polyethylene Wicker (HDPE), which is fade-resistant and scratch resistant.
3. Sheko Wicker Cradle Chair
Personally, the Sheko Cradle Chair is my favorite on the list. I like white wicker because it is feminine, urban, and chic. It’s just another modish design by Zuo Modern. Zuo is known for its futuristic and cutting-edge designs, as seen in this list of new furniture. The weave is tight enough and it just reinforces the idea of lounging in heaven. Its nest-like design will cradle you and rock you to sleep. The one downside is that it costs more than the Nimbus Chair.
The Island Cove Open Weave Wicker Hanging Chair.This chair has a tropical feel to it with a modern Espresso wicker weave. Made by Panama Jack, the Island Cove Hanging Chair uses a patented ViroFiber that is UV resistant so it won’t fade or crack. This chair differs from others on the list because it has an open and more boxed base while others have a circular base. This would allow you to pull it up closer to another chair or maybe right up to a table if you’re feeling extra lazy. The only caveat is that you wouldn’t be able to swing around in it with it so close to other furniture.
5. Rockport Wicker Hanging Swing Chair
The swinging bench is a classic staple in the American Front Porch. The Rockport Swing Chair is an adaptation of the traditional wood swinging bench but instead, it uses wicker, which is more commonly associated with high-end resorts (this is how wicker became popular). This chair is UV protected and offers a unique Chestnut Wicker finish. You’re also in for a treat because it comes with Sunbrella cushions which are the best in the industry (stain-resistant). This model comes from Forever Patio, another company that makes quality wicker furniture.
