Outdoor Dining Furniture for Open-Air Entertaining
The right outdoor dining furniture doesn't just fill a patio — it defines how you use it. Patio Productions carries 795+ dining pieces across every format: complete matched sets, separate tables and chairs you pair yourself, lounge and sectional configurations that seat a crowd in comfort, and bar-height setups scaled for casual entertaining. Modern silhouettes sit alongside traditional teak; luxury cast aluminum alongside low-maintenance POLYWOOD®. ICFA-certified and serving customers from our San Diego patio furniture showroom and nationally online since 2007, we carry the full range of what outdoor dining can look like — from a spare 3-piece bistro on a city balcony to an 11-piece dining arrangement built for commercial terraces.
Dining Sets, or Build Your Own
A complete outdoor dining set is the straightforward path — table and chairs sold together, already proportioned for each other, coordinated in finish and material. Our sets run from 3-piece bistro scale up to 11-piece configurations for large groups. The other route gives you more control: choose an outdoor dining table you love and build around it with dining chairs in a contrasting material or finish. A teak table paired with powder-coated aluminum chairs is one of the most popular combinations we see — easier to maintain than an all-teak setup, and visually interesting without any forced effort.
A category worth knowing: lounge dining sets. These replace standard upright dining chairs with deep-seating club or sofa frames arranged around a dining-height table. The hybrid format works especially well on larger patios where you want one setup to serve as both a conversation area and a place to actually eat. For counter and bar-height entertaining, our bar and bistro furniture covers the full range — useful for pool decks and compact terraces where a full dining footprint isn't practical.
Outdoor Dining Materials That Last
Teak, powder-coated aluminum, POLYWOOD® lumber, and all-weather wicker make up the core of our dining inventory. Each performs differently across climates and use patterns:
- Teak — the benchmark natural wood for outdoor use. Teak's silica content makes it impervious to moisture and rot without chemical treatment. Left alone, it weathers to a silver-grey. Oiled annually, it holds a warm honey tone. All our teak dining furniture carries a 15-year structural warranty.
- Powder-coated aluminum — rustproof, lightweight, and available in more finish colors than any other material in this category. Cast aluminum delivers sculptural detail and heft; extruded aluminum runs cleaner and more contemporary. 15-year frame warranty across all aluminum lines.
- POLYWOOD® lumber — HDPE made from post-consumer recycled plastic, backed by a 20-year warranty. It doesn't absorb water, won't splinter or crack, and needs nothing beyond soap and water. The Farmhouse Trestle and Vineyard collections are two of the most-requested POLYWOOD dining setups we carry.
- All-weather wicker — ours is HDPE, not PVC. That difference matters: HDPE wicker stays flexible in cold weather and resists UV fading, while cheaper PVC wicker turns brittle after a few seasons of sun exposure.
